As I lay against your body/that will one day let you down...

One year ago today, my Grandpa Weller passed away.  I never realized how much I loved him and what he meant to me until he was gone.  He was the kindest, funniest, most gentle man I have ever met and I am so sad that he won't be around to see me graduate college, get a career, get married, or have kids.

I love you, Grandpa.

flowers we laid on his grave today.  the white ones are from my grandma, the oranges ones from me and my siblings.

Autumn is in the air.

Sunday was a delicious day full of good events.  Drove down and picked up my car from the shop (hopefully for the last time for a long while!!), stopped by the fruit highway and picked up fresh produce (for so freaking cheap!), made delicious curry for lunch, went to a movie, had dinner with the family, saw a friend I have seen in a few years and her new baby.  I love my Sundays.  My one day off during the week to save my sanity.

I love the way the season changes from summer to autumn in Cache Valley.  One day it is hot and dry and suddenly the next it cools down, the air is crisp and delicious, and the trees are suddenly vibrant with color.  I love autumn.

Produce stands excite me beyond real reason.  Something about seeing all the beautiful produce, locally grown, organic, no sprays, all love.  Makes me want to cook delicious meals and revel in the miracle of farming.

    YEAH, PUMPKINS!

Apples bring back such wonderful memories of living in an orchard during Fall.  A crisp, fresh apple right off the tree, apple pie from scratch, the delicious sweetness of real apple cider.

Every great journey begins with a mediocre blog post.

I feel like this first post should be profound or even epic, if you will.  Instead I will simply share with you this moment from my day:

Found him.
